Our Services

Supporting the Healing Process

Our treatment protocols include a variety of holistic healing techniques. Each can be utilized independently or in conjunction with one another to maximize therapeutic effect. After your initial consultation and evaluation, a recommended treatment plan will be offered. Most patients will notice a response to their symptoms after their first treatment and a significant change in how they feel within 3 to 4 treatments. Depending on your level of pain or other condition, additional treatments may be needed to allow the body to undergo a more significant healing process.

Our treatments include:

Acupuncture

Dr. Fred Ragsdale - Acupuncture procedure

Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate natural response and healing. These points occur along quantifiable energetic pathways called meridians. The insertion of the acupuncture needles sends a message called Qi along these meridians triggering normalized physiological function, hormonal balance, reduced inflammation/ pain, and strengthened immunity. (Please see Acupuncture)

Prolo-acupuncture

Dr. Fred Ragsdale - Prolo-acupuncture

Dr. Ragsdale offers prolo-acupuncture treatment, which can provide similar results without injections. By directly treating these injured areas, we are stimulating the body to heal itself, restoring function to the joint or tendon naturally. This treatment promotes rapid healing and the reduction of pain. (Please see Prolo-acupuncture)

Cupping

Dr. Fred Ragsdale - Cupping procedure

Cupping involves placing small jars on the skin (made from glass, bamboo, or plastic) and creating a vacuum by suctioning out the air. The underlying tissue is raised or sucked partway into the cup. The purpose of cupping is to enhance circulation, relieve pain, remove “heat” and pull out inhibiting toxins that linger in your body’s tissues. (Please see Cupping Theory)

Prescriptions (Herbal Remedies)

Dr. Fred Ragsdale - Herbal remedies

Chinese herbal medicines are plant-based, but some preparations include minerals or animal products. Different herbs have different properties and can help to balance particular parts of the body. Prescribing a particular herb, or concoction of herbs (formula), means a diagnosis has been reached. We take into account the state of the patient’s Yin and Yang, as well as the elements that are governing the affected organs. (Please see Herbal Remedies)

At Home Care (House Calls)

You can leverage the convenience of receiving expert treatments within your home, hotel, or place of work. Patients who receive At Home Care can further customize their treatment experience including access to after-hours treatment without time constraints. Based on your condition or level of pain, At Home Care may be the best option for you. (Please see House Calls for more information)

Veterans Care

In addition to trauma, Veterans may experience acute and chronic pain due to post-surgical conditions as well as injuries and strains sustained during their deployments.  Our goal is to reduce and resolve pain conditions through holistic methods, thereby allowing many Veterans to reduce their pain medication consumptions. (Please see Veterans Care)

Worker’s Compensation

Dr. Fred Ragsdale works with insurance companies and representatives of injured workers to promote better outcomes and rapid return to work.  His cost-conscious process ensures that resources are not squandered while maximizing the effects of acupuncture using his unique skills and background, effectively reducing acute and chronic pain, soft tissue soreness, stress, anxiety, and sleeplessness.  (See Worker’s Compensation)

Physical Therapy

Dr. Fred Ragsdale - Physical Therapy

Healing from injury or trauma may require a treatment plan that includes physical therapy. Our therapeutic approach places emphasis on functional movement, improving circulation, and repair stimulation through acupuncture. By combining manual therapy, acupuncture, and soft tissue manipulation, you receive a more holistic set of treatments to reach your optimal level of function. We aim to reduce pain and inflammation, correct natural ranges of motion, and promote spontaneous healing without medication.

Trigger Point Therapy (Dry Needling)

Dr. Fred Ragsdale - Trigger Point Therapy

Everyone can benefit from Trigger Point Therapy. Our muscles have active trigger points, which can become painful, tense areas of the muscle. They can be found anywhere on the body and are one of the most common causes of chronic musculoskeletal pain, also known as myofascial pain. We can release these tense points within the muscle and achieve long-term results. (Please see Trigger Point Therapy)
